Speich, Mrs. Jake (89th - 1980)
Relatives and friends attended an open house honoring Mrs. Jake Speich at her
home in Greenwood, Saturday afternoon. The event was a surprise party in
celebration of the 89th birthday of Mrs. Speich, who is a resident at the
Memorial Home in Neillsville.
The party was hosted by her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Speich,
Rockford, Illinois. Also present were her other children, Mr. and Mrs. Donald
Speich, Eau Claire, Gary Speich, Osseo, Violet Speich, at home.
The guests also included the honorees brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest
Vollrath, Greenwood; Clara Metcalf, Greenwood; and Mrs. Emma Gerlach,
Neillsville.
Lunch was served by the hosts after Mrs. Speich opened her gifts.
