St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing (Nurse Capping - 1980)
Several area women from the 45-member class of 1982 at St. Joseph’s Hospital
School of Nursing, Marshfield, pledged their dedication to their chosen
profession in Sunday, October 5, ceremonies at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church
in Marshfield.
During the traditional capping ceremony, honored were Germaine Lamovec, formerly
of Neillsville; Tawana Schultz, Greenwood; Sallie Grupe, Alma Center; Sheila
Nackar Hoernke and JoAnn Jones, both of Colby and Rose Wadzinski, Thorp. Each
received a cap while male members of the class received pins. The ceremony is
conducted at the time when junior level students have completed their
fundamental nursing courses and are beginning their hospital experience.
