Gospodar, Kathleen Sue (11 Jun 1977)
Kathleen Sue Gospodar and Jeffrey Lynn Auberg were joined in Holy Matrimony in a
double ring ceremony on June 11, 1977 at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Family Parish in
Stanley. The Rev. Leonard Kaiser performed the ceremony. Parents of the couple
are John and Shirley Gospodar of Stanley, and Bernard and Ardelle Auberg of
Withee.
Organist was Tootie Mueller, Withee, sister of the groom. Joey Spaeth, friend of
the couple, was soloist. Ushers were Ronnie and Lanny Auberg, brothers of the
groom, and Steve Gospodar, brother of the bride.
Given in marriage by her father, Kathy wore a white chiffon A-line gown with an
empire waistline, featuring angel sleeves and Queen Anne neckline trimmed with
satin, Venice lace and tiny pearls. A bridal illusion flowed from her picture
hat onto a floor length veil. She carried a white lace fan with peach colored
roses and trailing ivy.
Deb Hendrickson of Germany was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Doris Manier,
Oregon, Wisconsin, LaRayne Kappus, Eau Claire, and Julie Isenberger of Stanley.
They wore peach colored jersey knit gowns and carried bouquets of peach tipped
carnations with baby’s breath. Each wore flowers in their hair. Lisa Kappus was
Kathy’s floer girl. Her long white dress of peau de soie had a scoop neckline
with puffed sleeves. Lisa carried a white basket of miniature flowers; she also
wore flowers in her hair.
The groom wore an all-white formal tuxedo with tails. Greg Bredlau of Iowa City,
Iowa was Jeff’s best man. Groomsmen were Ed Stewart, Jim Gospodar of Stanley,
and Phil Kitze of Owen. They wore rust colored tuxedos with peach colored
ruffled shirts. Each wore boutonnieres to match their shirts.
The bride’s mother wore a gown of cinnamon rust color with matching jacket cape,
and the mother of the groom wore a mint green gown with lace over jacket. Each
had corsages to complement her gown. The bride’s grandmother wore a gown of off
white lace over beige taffeta and wore a corsage of deep pink carnations.
A reception followed the ceremony at Holy Family Hall. Cake servers were Jill
Daniels and Deb Leudtke. The Harmony Goldtones provided the music for the dance.
The new Mr. and Mrs. Auberg are making their home in Withee.
