Bender, Mr. and Mrs. David (55th – 21 October 1980)

Honored at a recent dinner for 55 years of married life were Mr. and Mrs. David Bender, Rt. 1 Neillsville. The Wildcat Inn event was planned by their children, Mrs. Bud (June) Dudei of Plainfield, Mrs. Marvin Hemp of Neillsville, Mrs. Ralph (Elaine) Dorow of Miladore, Mrs. Gordon (Lorraine) Meddaugh of rural Granton and David Bender of rural Vesper.

The former Mabel Broihier, Town of Levis, and David Bender, so of Logan and Lucinda Bender, Town of Grant, were united in marriage on October 21, 1925, in Dubuque, Iowa, ceremonies.

The couple lived all of their married life on a farm in the Town of Grant. They are still actively engaged in farming and enjoy hunting.

Besides the five children, the Benders also have 21 grandchildren, and 19 (at last count) great-grandchildren.
