About sixty present and former residents of the Frenchtown community attended
the fourth annual Frenchtown picnic held in the Withee Park Pavilion on
Saturday, July 30, 1977, to enjoy a potluck dinner.
Each year since 1974, the picnic has been held during the Withee Community Days
festivities. A number of gentlemen in attendance are members of the Withee Lions
Club, including Sig Sorenson and Bert Miller.
Among those in attendance were several from out of town, Hoard and Theo Thompson
from Minneapolis, cousins of George Sorenson, were there; also Mr. and Mrs.
Charles Pralguske of West Fargo, North Dakota.
