Bergeman, Warren S. (21 Apr. 1920 - 15 Mar. 2003)

Warren S. Bergeman, age 82, formerly of Grandview and Chippewa Falls passed away Saturday, March 15, 2003, at Oakwood Villa Nursing Home in Altoona. He was born April 21, 1920, in Wausau, the son of Oscar and Lenore (Schuner) Bergeman. He moved to Chippewa Falls when he was a child. Warren served in World War II from 1941 to 1945. He was co-owner of Chippewa Plumbing and Heating until his retirement in 1978. Warren married Shirley Shaffer on July 10, 1948. They had seven children together and later divorced. Warren married Doris Rooney on June 15, 1974. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish and trap.

He is survived by his wife Doris of Chippewa Falls; four sons: Tom (Lai) of Cornucopia, Jack (Kathy) , Steve (Kathleen) and Jerry, all of Chippewa Falls; two daughters: Julie Stoflet (John Lane) of Madison and Karen Bergeman of Eau Claire; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister Louise Berger of Newark, Delaware; four step-children: James (Linda) Rooney of Anoka, Minn., Ronald (Sheila) Rooney of Bloomer, Judy McVinnie and Sue Walton of Chippewa Falls; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, William in 1983 and a brother Donald. Honoring William’s wishes, a private family memorial service was held Sunday, March 16 at the Oakwood Villa Chapel.
