Two area Future Business Leaders of America chapters earned honors during the National FBLA Leadership Conference July 1-4 at San Francisco.

Both the Colby and Thorp FBLA chapters earned the Gold Seal of Merit award for being active chapters throughout the year. The awards is given to local chapters which contribute to a better understanding of business through extensive programs. Less than 10 percent of all chapters receive the awards.

The Thorp FBLA Chapter's Parliamentary Procedure team place fourth in the nation. Team members are Kate Kaz, Ann Oberle, Jennifer Osowski, Patsy Slowiak, Julie Sniegowski and Cathy Miller.

Colby FBLA chapter members attending were Stephanie Weix, Sara Strathmann, Rhonda Wolff, Holly Gottschalk, Marie Braatz, adviser.
