Martin, Elizabeth N. (25 Aug 1960 – 30 Jan 2022)
Elizabeth N. Martin, age 61 years, 5 months, and 5 days, of the Town of Hixon,
passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at her sister and brother-in-law's
residence with her family by her side.
Services were held Friday, February 4, 2022 at Meadow Brook Mennonite Church in
the Town of Withee. Elvin Fox, Edwin Nolt, Marvin Leid and John David Zimmerman
Jr. officiated. Pallbearers were Luke Martin, Kevin Martin, Philip Shirk, Josiah
Shirk, Jesse Martin Jr. and Wendel Brubaker. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home
in Owen assisting the family with arrangements.
Elizabeth was born on August 25, 1960 in Brecknock Township Denver, PA., the
daughter of John S. and Esther S. (Nolt) Martin. She attended Willow Ridge Adult
Day Care in Owen for 30 years. Elizabeth lived with her sister and
brother-in-law, Noah and Naomi Hoover from 1997 to 2019 and the last three years
she lived with her other sister and brother-in-law, Nelson and Rebecca Martin.
Elizabeth is survived by two brothers: Rufus (Anna) Martin of Withee, Alvin
(Vera) Martin of Withee; and six sisters: Eva (Allen) Horning of Thorp, Emma
(Raymond) Brubaker of Denver, PA., Rebecca (Nelson) Martin of Withee, Barbara (Mahlon)
Shirk of Owen, Mary (Jesse) Brubaker of Withee, and Mabel Martin of Weyauwega;
and a brother-in-law Noah Hoover of Thorp.
She is preceded in death by her parents: John and Esther Martin Jr.; sisters:
Laura Martin, Naomi Hoover, Alma Shirk and infant sister Miriam Martin; and
brother-in-law Jesse Z. Martin.
