An area student, Linda Ann Mauel, 531 W. Melbinger St., Owen, Wisconsin,
Political Science Major, is among the young women and men who visited the
University of Wisconsin, Madison recently to begin registration for studies
starting with the opening of all semester classes September 6, 1977.
The young people took advantage of the University’s summer advising orientation
program for new freshmen and transfer students. Under this program,
students-to-be visit the campus for at least a day, often with one or both
parents, arrange for housing, take placement tests, meet student leaders and
faculty persons, and begin the registration process.
