Schweke, Rudolph (26 Feb. 1913 - 20 May 1965)
SPENCER - Rudolph Schweke, 52, Spencer, died following a lingering illness at 7:15 p.m. Thursday at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. John?s Lutheran Church, North Spencer. The Rev. M. L. Yonker will officiate, and burial will be made in the West Spencer cemetery.
The body will repose at the Jasperson Funeral Home here from noon Saturday until time of services.
Mr. Schweke was born Feb. 26, 1913, in the town of Brighton, and received his education there. His marriage to Vera Huber took place Oct. 5, 1935, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer. After their marriage they operated a farm in the town of Brighton until April, 1965, when they moved to the village of Spencer.
Mr. Schweke was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, North Spencer, and had served as trustee for several years; he was clerk of the Harding School in the town of Brighton; and had served as treasurer of the town of Brighton for several years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Erland, Spencer; his father, William Schweke, Spencer; two brothers, Alvin, Ladysmith; and Clifford, Marshfield; two sisters, Mrs. John (Lenora) Zettl, Milwaukee; and Mrs. Donald (Estella) Prehn, Spencer; and a grand child.
He was preceded in death by his mother and a brother.
