Griepentrog, Darel Frank (10 Dec. 1906 - 5 Aug. 1989)
SPENCER - Darel Frank Griepentrog, 82, Marshfield Living Center, formerly of Spencer, died at 3:05 p.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer, with the Rev. DuWayne Schneider officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be William Willner, James Anderson, Greg and DuWayne Griepentrog, Charles Nelson and Arvid Cramer. Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Schwantes, Emil Weiland, Walter Schauer and William Rindfleisch.
Visitation will be at Rux Funeral Home, Spencer, after 4 p.m. today.
He was born Dec. 10, 1906, in the town of Brighton, to Charles and Anna Griepentrog. He attended Brighton School.
He married Frances Neumann June 7, 1928, at St. John's Lutheran Church, North Spencer. He farmed in the town of Brighton and was assessor for the town of Brighton for 16 years. He was later employed by Pathfinder Inc. and Wadham's Mobil for a number of years and was a certified welder for A. O. Smith. He had been a resident of the Marshfield Living Center for the past two months.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Reinhold (Bernadine) Willner of Janesville and Mrs. Willard (Eunice) Anderson of Marshfield; two sons, Wilmer and Norbert, both of Spencer; two sisters, Mrs. Sigert (Lydia) Nelson of Stevens Point and Mrs. Linda Miller of Abbotsford; 23 grand-children; and 28 great-grand-children.
He was predeceased by one sister.
