Krueger, James (12 July 1938 - 27 Sept. 1999)

James Krueger, 60, Mitchell Lane, Town of Berlin, died Monday, Sept. 27, 1999 at the Wausau Hospital.

He was born Dec. 23, 1938 in Wausau, the son of Paul and Anna (Butt) Krueger.

He married Alice Kufahl on July 12, 1958 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Town of Pine River. She survives.

Krueger was a lifelong dairy farmer in the Town of Berlin until 1993 when he became employed as a fork lift operator for Menzner Lumber Company, Marathon.

He was an employee of Warren Londerville's Holstein Haven and assisted his son, Dale, in his logging business. He enjoyed playing cards, deer hunting and gardening.

Besides his wife, survivors include a daughter, Debra Grueneberg, Merrill; two sons, Dale Krueger, Merrill, and Greg Krueger, Wausau; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Viola Brunow, Wausau, and Dorothy Wiesman, Wausau; three brothers, Raymond Krueger, Wausau, Melvin Krueger, Minocqua, and Bennie Krueger, Wausau. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 30, at Trinity Lutheran Church (WELS), Town of Berlin. The Rev. Jeffrey Schmidt will preside. Burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Town of Berlin.

Pallbearers will be Harvey Blade, Gerald Duwe, Robert Giese, Melvin Klebnow, Dennis Voigt and Gordon Woller. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Grueneberg and Justin Grueneberg.
