Luepke, Arnold A. (14 Dec. 1916 - 30 Nov. 1980)

SPENCER - Arnold A. Luepke, 63, of 301 School St. died at 5 a.m. Sunday at his home.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, the Rev. William Ruhbusch officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.

Richard Neidlein, Roger Hebert, DuWayne Fravert, Merton Reckner, Charles Steffenhagen and Lorrin Nall are to serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Arnold Bruesewitz will provide music.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday at Rux Funeral Home.

Mr. Luepke was born here Dec. 14, 1916 and attended local schools. He married Ione Neidlein here on Sept. 15, 1945.

He worked at Land O'Lakes Inc. Cheese Division from 1938 to 1941, then served with the U.S. Army until 1945. He returned to Land O'Lakes and worked there until becoming ill this year. He belonged to Spencer Fire Department, serving as its treasurer many years; was a member of Lutheran Laymen's League of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10407 of Spencer; and was treasurer, trustee, and a member of the church council of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, Terry Luepke of Marshfield, and Ronald Luepke of Spencer; a daughter, Kay Luepke of Marshfield; three grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Otto (Irene) Verch of Spencer; and two brothers, Elmer and Fred Luepke, both of Racine.

His parents were Fred and Ella (Krause) Luepke.
