Oelrich, Charles (6 July 1881 - 29 Apr. 1942)
Spencer - Charles Oelrich, 60, resident in the Town of Brighton for the past 54 years, died at his home yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock of a lingering illness. He had been ill about a year. The body will lie in state at the Swarthout Funeral Home here until Friday evening, when it will be taken to the home, where services will be held at 1:20 o'clock Saturday afternoon. At 2 o'clock services will be conducted in St. John's Lutheran Church.
The Rev. H. C. Hinz, pastor, will officiate at the services and burial will be made in the church cemetery.
Mr. Oelrich was born July 6, 1881 in Chicago, Ill., and came here with his parents when he was six years of age. He was married in 1904 to Miss Sophie Luepke and lived in this vicinity all his life. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.
Surviving besides his wife are the following children: Alfred, Bernard, Mrs. Walter Neumann, Mrs. Frank Seefeld, Mrs. Arthur Huber, Spencer; and Arnold, Miss Erna, and Miss Lucille, at home.
Four brothers, Frank Oelrich, Fred Oelrich, William Oelrich, and George Oelrich, Spencer, and 11 grandchildren also survive. Two sisters, Mrs. Sophie Neumann and Mrs. Alma Dittmann, preceded him in death.
