Plath, Norbert W. (1 Apr. 1919 - 6 June 1991)

Norbert W. Plath, 72, of 515 Becker Road, died at 9:12 a.m. Thursday in the Emergency Room of St. Joseph's Hospital.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Catholic Church with the Rev. Randy E. Olson, associate pastor, officiating. Music will be provided by Wanda Wallis, organist, and St. John's Church Funeral Choir. Military rites will be conducted at the church by American Legion Post No. 54. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Hewitt.

Pallbearers will be nephews, Ron, Dan, Tom and Wayne Sutton and Terry and Jeff Plath.

Visitation will be at Rembs/Kundinger Chapel from 5-8:30 p.m. today and again Saturday until service time. A parish prayer service will be held at 8 tonight at the funeral chapel.

He was born April 1, 1919, in Spencer, to Herman and Erna (Dittman) Plath. He attended Spencer High School. He was married to Veronica A. Weigel June 7, 1943, in Las Vegas, Nev. After his education, he was employed at the Stock Grow Co. in Marshfield, until he entered the U.S. Army Air Force. He served from Aug. 8, 1941, until his honorable discharge on Dec. 1, 1945. He then returned to Stock Grow and later joined L.L. Felker Penetred Corp., Marshfield, and was employed there until 1975. He was then employed by various businesses in Marshfield until his retirement in 1981.

He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society.

He is survived by his wife; one son, Robert of Marshfield; one daughter, Mrs. Pricilla Reno of Marshfield; one sister, Mrs. Louise Lee of Phillips; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

He was predeceased by his parents and one brother, Vernon.
