Ross, Adolph (15 Apr. 1892 - 31 Oct. 1983)

EDGAR - Adolph Ross, 91, Edgar, died at 8:20 a.m. today in the Sunnyvale Infirmary, Wausau. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, Edgar. The Rev. Ronald Nordin will officiate. Burial will be in the Edgar Cemetery.

Visitation at the Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar, will be after 3 p.m. Wednesday. There will be a scripture service at 9 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.

He was born April 15, 1892 in Camp Douglas, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Adolph (Marie) Ross. He married Helena Ploman Sept. 27, 1922 in Spencer. She survives. He lived in Edgar the past 42 years and was a retired section worker for the Chicago and North Western Railroad, retiring in 1958.

Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Edward, address unknown and Verlyn of Marathon, four daughters, Mrs. William (Rose Mary) Bothe of Stratford, Mrs. Paulus (Dorothy) Hoppenworth of Edgar, Mrs. Oscar (Berdine) Bothe of Watertown and Mrs. Walter (Arvilla) May of Kingsland, Texas; 24 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
