Fischer, Warren J. (23 Jan. 1924 - 22 Dec. 1986)
STRATFORD - Warren J. Fischer, 62, Route 3, Stratford, died at 11:45 p.m. Monday at St. Joseph’s Hospital, where he had been admitted earlier that day.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, Rozellville, with Rev. Carl A. Wohlmuth officiating. Paul M. Drexler, guitarist, will accompany soloists Mary Wussow and Mary Niehaus.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Military rites will be conducted by the Stratford VFW Memorial Post 6352 at the cemetery. Pallbearers will be Donald Pernsteiner, Mark Kaiser, Bruce Hughes, Robert Hauke, Charles Drexler, and Charles L. Gorton. Visitation will be from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Friday at Rembs/Kundinger Chapel, Marshfield, and at the church from 12:30 p.m. until service time. St. Andrew’s Parish and Parish Council of Catholic Women will hold a rosary service at 12:45 p.m. Friday at the church.
He was born Jan. 23, 1924, in the Town of Day, Marathon County, to Simon and Ella Fischer and attended St. Andrew’s Parochial School, Rozellville.
He married Bernice L. Johnson Jan. 27, 1951, in Hammond. She survives. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army Air Force with the ....missing content.
