Walter Herman Facklam, 88, of 801 Parcher St., Wausau, died Friday, Jan. 22, 1999, at Colonial Manor Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Wausau.
Walter was born July 24, 1910, in Spencer, Wis., to the late Herman and Hattie (Karau) Facklam. He married Viola Mae Bachelor on June 25, 1938. They owned and operated the Spencer Blacksmith Shop for 41 years.
Survivors include his wife, Viola, Wausau; one brother, Randolph Facklam, Wisconsin Rapids; and one sister, Gertrude Scott, Weaverville, N.C. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, 1999, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer. Officiating will be the Rev. Duwayne Schneider and Rev. William Ruhbusch. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Helke Funeral Home, Wausau, is assisting the family with arrangements.
