Mrs. Frank Schwantes Wants To Re-Marry
Mrs. Frank Schwantes, who caused a sensation in court at Wausau a year ago when in her grief she had to be torn from her husband by the sheriff after he had received a life sentence for the murder of the aged Klokow couple near Spencer, has manifested a change of spirit, her love for her imprisoned husband having cooled during the past twelve months. This week she applied to the county clerk for a license to marry Albert Siebarth, a neighbor, under her maiden name of Ida Griepentrog. The sentencing of Frank Schwantes to state’s prison for life gave his wife a divorce, but legally she is Mrs. Ida Schwantes and must be married under that name. The application was returned for correction and when the proper name is inserted a license will be issued.
