Svec, John R. (27 Sept. 1881 - 25 Dec. 1952)

STRATFORD - John R. Svec, 71, Town of Eau Pleine, died at his home at 9 a.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Sauter Funeral Home. The Rev. D. H. Kuehl will officiate and burial will be made in the Town of Brighton cemetery.

The body will repose at the funeral home from Saturday noon until the time of services.

Mr. Svec was born Sept. 27, 1881, in Chicago, where he received his education. He was married in 1904 to Emma Bergen in Chicago. They moved to Kenosha in 1912, and to the Town of Eau Pleine in 1917, residing there since that time.

He is survived by his widow, two sons, Ervin, Town of Eau Pleine, and John, Oak Park, Ill.; three daughters, Mrs. Earl (Emma) Kaeser Sr. Tomahawk, Mrs. Alfred (Beatrice) Farr, Mundelin, Ill., and Mrs. Albert (Georgianna) Nylen, Wausau; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Taylor and Mrs. Emma Rada, Chicago.
