Ziehlsdorf, Gerhard (2 Nov. 1913 - 8 Jan. 1992)

SUSSEX - Spencer native Gerhard Ziehlsdorf, 78, Sussex, died Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Hospital Hospice Care Unit, Milwaukee.

Memorial services will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Peace Lutheran Church, Sussex.

He was born Nov. 2, 1913, in Spencer. He married Valda Bruss May 5, 1945, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, North Spencer.

He was a truck driver in Spencer and later in Milwaukee until retirement. After retirement, he and his wife moved to Florida until 1991. They then moved to Sussex.

He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Michael (Karen) Lietzke of Milwaukee, Mrs. Joseph (Gail) Graham of Hales Corners and Mrs. David (Paula) Raabe of Skokie, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Oelrich of Marshfield and Mrs. George (Regina) Zuehlke of Loyal; five granddaughters, and two grandsons.
