Haderlein, Ella (Marriage - 14 Feb. 1946)
Mr. and Mrs. Stephen A. Stanke are now at home to friends at 5401 S. Ellis Ave., Chicago. Their marriage took place on St. Valentine’s day in the parsonage of the Evangelical and Reformed church at Athens, with the Rev. Henry Heutzenroeder officiating.
Ella Haderlein, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Haderlein, Milan, chose for her bridal gown, a frock of blue velvet with ivory lace trim with which she wore a corsage of American Beauty roses and heather. Her accessories were in dubonnet.
Attending the couple were the bride’s brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Haderlein. Mrs. Haderlein wore a wool frock of bubonnet and wore blue accessories.
A dinner, with covers laid for 15 guests, was served at the home of the bride’s parents.
The bride for a number of years was clerk in the Milan store later accepting a position as cost accountant for Bauer and Black Co., in Chicago.
The bridegroom, also of Chicago, is a wholesale candy jobber. He was recently honorably discharged from the army after serving 33 months in the medical corps in General Patton’s Third Army.
