Seidl, Marion Margaret (8 Mar. 1919 - 14 Apr. 2009)

Marion Margaret Seidl, 90, of Marshfield died Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at Heartland Country Village, Black Earth.

A visitation is planned for Friday, April 17, 2009, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, Marshfield.

Funeral services are pending. A complete obituary will appear in the Thursday edition of the Marshfield News-Herald.

Marion Margaret Seidl, 90, of Marshfield, died Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at Heartland Country Village, Black Earth.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2009, at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2009, and one hour prior to the service at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, Marshfield. Father Peter Manickam will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Hillside Cemetery.

Marion was born March 8, 1919, to Fred and Ida (Griepentrog) Schwantes in Spencer. On Aug. 3, 1940, she married Leroy Seidl in a little country church in Iowa. Marion worked at the Weinbrenner Shoe Factory, Roddis Factory, Figi's and finally retired in 1982 from Weyerhaeuser.

Marion was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and of the Parish Council of Catholic Women (PCCW). She enjoyed dancing, her daughter's dogs, playing cards and taking trips to Las Vegas with her family and friends. But more than anything, Marion loved her family.

Marion is lovingly survived by her daughter Constance (Bruce) Matzke of Verona; a granddaughter, Robyn (Martin) Lemay of Saukville; a grandson, Scott Matzke of Roanoke, Va.; and great-granddaughter, Amber Lemay. She is furthered survived by other family and friends.

Marion is preceded in death by her loving husband, Leroy; her parents; three brothers, Lother, Eldor and Fredrick Schwantes; and three sisters, Frances Trierweiler, Edna Seehafer and Elnora Hansen.
