Wachholz, LaVerne Joy (1920? - 31 May 2009)

LaVerne Joy Wachholz, 89, of Fitchburg/Spencer, died peacefully May 31, 2009, at Sylvan Crossings Chapel Valley, Madison.

LaVerne moved from her home of 57 years in Spencer, to Madison in 2005 to be closer to her daughters.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, Maynard Wachholz; and fiance, Donald Wiedman; two brothers and one sister.

She is survived by daughters Lois (Jim) Gersich of Madison and Betty (Jim) Robinson of Racine; grandchildren, Luke Gersich and Liane (John) Harrison; sisters, Loretta Gerke of Tomah and Marian (Anuff) Kersting of Janesville; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Herbert and Leona Wachholz of Spencer and Edward and Ann Wachholz; and nieces and nephews.

The family expresses appreciation to the staff at Sylvan Crossings Chapel Valley and Hospice Care Inc.

It was LaVerne's wish that there be no memorial service.
