Rodman, Gene A. (November 23, 1942 - August 12, 2009)

 

Gene A. Rodman, 66, town of Frankfort, died Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at his home. He was born November 23, 1942, in the town of Frankfort, son of the late Oscar and Helen (Dorfschmidt) Rodman.

 

On September 5, 1964, he married Martha Ortman at Trinity Lutheran Church, Athens. She survives.

 

He attended school in the Athens area, and then worked as a truck driver in the area for many years. He took over his parents bar, the former Rodman’s Bar until his retirement in 1994. Among his many interests he enjoyed bunting and fishing.

 

Survivors include his wife, Martha Rodman, town of Frankfort; his daughter, Corrinne (Joe) Petri, Stratford; his son, Wade (Raegene) Rodman, Colby; and one grandson. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Gail Rodman; and his brother, Robert Rodman.

 

Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 17, 2009 at St. John Lutheran Church (High Steeple), W1145 Huckleberry Road, Edgar.

 

Rev. Jeffrey Lambrecht will preside. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church.
