Bartnik, Frieda Mary (Marriage – 29 May 1934)
Miss Frieda Mary Bartnik, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bartnik and John Lawrence Miller, son of Mrs. Antoinette Miller, both of the town of Holton, were united in marriage at 9 o’clock Tuesday morning May 29 at St. Thomas Church at Milan, the Reverend Urban Baer officiating.
The bride wore a beautiful white gown of satin and lace and her veil in cap effect had a long train. She carried a shower bouquet of tea roses and white bridal daisies. She was attended by Miss Agnes Helfert who wore a pale green satin gown with white accessories and carried a bouquet of white and pink flowers.
The groom was attended by Frank Bartnik, Jr., brother of the bride. A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents to relatives and immediate friends, and a wedding dance at Maple Park Pavilion in the evening. The young couple will reside on the groom’s farm west of Milan.
Out of town guests were: Anton Herz and family, Earl Curran and family, Mrs. Antoinette Miller, Milwaukee; Miss Anna Bartnik, Minneapolis; and the Misses Meta Bartnik, Lynda Bischoff and Teckla Waynardt, Chicago.
