Kommer, Ilma (Marriage - 2 May 1936)

At the farm home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Kommer, in the town of Spencer, on Saturday afternoon, May 2, 1936, at four o'clock, occurred the marriage of their daughter, Ilma and Willard Kobs, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Kobs. Rev. A. C. Stapel, pastor of the Trinity Ev. Lutheran church officiating. Miss Vila Kommer was maid of honor and George Wittman of Marshfield was best man. The bride wore a tailored, lavender colored dress, trimmed with pink lace and a corsage bouquet of sweetpeas and yellow roses. The bridesmaid wore a lavender, tailored dress, trimmed with white and a corsage bouquet similar to the bride's.

The decorations of the home were in lavender and white with white bells. 70 guests were present at the ceremony.

A reception was held at the home after the ceremony, followed by a wedding dinner. A beautiful cake, trimmed with white and lavender, adorned the table.

The groom is a farmer and they will make their home with the groom's parents and assist in carrying on the farm, and where they are at home to their many friends.
