Oelrich, Bonnie Ann (Marriage – 3 Feb. 1951)
Trinity Lutheran Church was the setting Saturday afternoon when Miss Bonnie Ann Oelrich, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Oelrich, became the bride of William J. Plath Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. William Plath. The Rev. Randolph Mueller performed the 4 o'clock ceremony.
For her wedding the bride chose a light green suit with toast-colored accessories. Her corsage was white and red roses. Mrs. Wilmer Oelrich, her matron of honor, was attired in a toast brown suit with dark brown accessories. Mr. Oelrich was best man.
For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Oelrich wore a royal blue gown and a corsage of pink carnations. The groom's mother wore a brown gown and a corsage of yellow carnations.
Nuptial Music was played by Norbert Boock, and two selections were sung by Miss Coleen Copet.
Following the ceremony, 75 relatives and friends were served a 5 o'clock dinner, followed by a reception at the bride's home.
Both the bride and groom are graduates of Spencer high school. Mr. Plath was graduated last week from Central State Teachers College, Stevens Point, where he received a B. E. Degree. The young couple will reside at Lad du Flambeau where he is teaching.
Out of town guests here for the wedding were from Milwaukee, Fond du Lac, Oshoshka, Rhinelander, Marshfield and Stevens Point.
Note: The date of marriage is from Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer, Marathon County, Wisconsin, marriage record number 2, page 224.
