The Misses Frieda Venzke and Evelyn Mantik of Wausau spent the week-end with their parents, Mrs. Herman Venzke and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Mantik. Miss Margaret Grog, Sparta, visited at the Paul Benzmann home during the week-end.
Mr. and Mrs. Gustav Lueck and Mrs. Otto Helke and daughter, Laura, of Athens were guests at the Wm. Krause home Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. John Clipper, of Chicago, were week-end guests at the John Haderlein home.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Miller and daughter, Geraldine, accompanied by their mother, Mrs. L. E. Miller of Aniwa, spent Sunday fishing at Park Falls. Mrs. Louis Blank left Monday for Rhinelander where she will spend several weeks with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Sukup. Her daughter-in-law, Mrs. George Blank, accompanied her and will spend several days in northern Wisconsin.
Mrs. Oscar Herrmann of Colby, accompanied by Capt. Edward Herrmann, of Camp Elvingston, La., visited at the Charles Schmidt home, Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hannemann were Marshfield callers Friday.
The Milan base ball team won 8 to 0 against the Medford team at Medford Sunday.
Mrs. Edward Boudwin, Winona, and Ted Fricke, Athens, visited at the George Blank home Sunday. Ben Strade and family of Lublin, formerly of Milan, visited here with friends Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Petterson and daughter, Bonnie, of Sheboygan, spent Friday here with old acquaintances.
Mrs. William Klein, Milwaukee, visited with Mr. and Mrs. William Krause, Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bargenquast of Milwaukee, who had been visiting at the home of her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Bargenquast, left Friday for Shell Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Bargenquast on their way up from Milwaukee, when passing through Oshkosh, had their car smashed in a collision with another car that they had to buy a
