Zahorka, Frank (21 Apr. 1882 – 21 Dec. 1956)
Frank Zahorka died December 21 at the Marshfield hospital, where he had been a patient for several days, at the age of 74 years. Funeral services were held December 24 at the Bethlehem Lutheran church at Milan, Rev. Frederick Kempfert officiating, and internment was made in the Milan cemetery. Six nephews served as pall bearers – Harvey Olson, Eldred Zahorka, William Krueger, Ray, Delbert and Donald Denzine.
Frank Zahorka was born in the town of Holton, Marathon county, April 21, 1882, and lived there all his life. His marriage on September 11, 1904, to Miss Alma Denzine also took place in the town of Holton. He was engaged in farming until his retirement several years ago.
Surviving are his widow; two sons, Arthur of Cleveland and Ervin of Abbotsford; two daughters, Mrs. Andrew (Anna) Haderlein of Milan and Mrs. Albert (Bernice) Horacek of Abbotsford. All of the children were at the funeral.
Also surviving are 10 grand children; six great grand children; two brothers, John of Colby and Joe of Prentice; four sisters, Mrs. Harry (Mary) Olson of Abbotsford, Mrs. Rose Zahorka of Milwaukee, Mrs. Christine Krueger of Wausau and Sister Laberta of Princeton.
