Kroening, Marion M. (October 23, 1923 - April 19, 2010)

 

Marion M. Kroening, 85, Fenwood, died Monday, April 19, 2010 in the Palliative Care Unit at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.


She was born October 23, 1923 in Marathon County, daughter of the late Otto and Margaret (Punke) Hintz.

 

On August 23, 1946 she married George Kroening in Marathon County. He preceded her in death on Nov. 28, 1998.


Marion was a homemaker who loved spending time with her grandsons. Her hobbies included fishing, gardening and especially working in her strawberry patches.


Survivors include her children: Roy Kroening, Fenwood and Danny (Lori) Kroening, Fenwood; two grandsons: David and Dustin Kroening both of Fenwood.


Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her son, Roger.


Funeral services will be held Friday, April 23, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Stratford. The Rev. Sue Eidahl will officiate. Burial will be in Fenwood Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 9:30a.m. until time of services all at the church in Stratford.


The family extends a special thank you to the Marshfield Clinic Staff especially to Dr. Roderick Koehler in Internal Medicine and to the staff in the Palliative Care Unit at St. Joseph's Hospital.


Peterson-Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar is in charge of arrangements.
