Passehl, Judith Arlene (Marriage ? 22 June 1957)

Miss Judith Arlene Passehl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Passehl, Sr., of Whittier, Calif., formerly of Town Frankfort, Marathon county, and Ramond Lamar Ferguson, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Langford of Whittier, Calif., exchanged wedding vows while the traditional wedding music was played softly in the background, on June 22nd, at Whittier, Calif.

A gown of lace patterned nylon tulle over white satin was chosen by the bride. The bodice was covered by a lace bolero and the bouffant skirt was accented by a cascade of ruffles. A princess crown of pearls held her veil.

Carrying a white orchid surrounded by carnations and red roses, the bride was given in marriage by her father as the Rev. Marvin Suhr officiated at the ceremony in the Faith Lutheran church.

Judith?s sister, Mrs. Shelby Roehmild, served as matron of honor, wearing blue net tulle over blue satin, and a headband of pink carnations. She carried a bouquet of pink roses. Donne May, age seven, and Linda Lou Passehl, age five, dressed in white with pink headbands, were the flower girls. Miss Christina Mueller was the bridesmaid with blue chiffon over satin and a pink rose bouquet. Both mothers were dressed in blue with red rose corsages.

The groom?s cousin, Ernest Roehmild, Jr., was best man, and ushers were Jay Jordan and Lamar Roehmild.

Seventy-five guests enjoyed a reception at the home of the bride?s parents. Her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Passehl, Sr., drove out from Wisconsin for the wedding.

Judith was graduated from California High School this year, and her husband is a graduate of Technical High School in Arkansas. He is now employed as a machinist at Shaffer Tool Works in South Whittier.

Following a week at Lake Tahoe, Sequoia, and Yosemite, the couple will reside in Whittier.
