Hoops, Mr./Mrs. John (56th Anniv. – 28 Feb. 1934)

Mr. and Mrs. John Hoops were pleasantly surprised Wednesday evening, Feb. 28, at the home of their daughter, Mrs. H. A. Graham, where friends and relatives gathered to remind them of their 56th wedding anniversary. Bunco was played. Mrs. Aug. Hoops and Herman Molle won high and Mrs. Chas. Andre and Wm. Eckes won the booby prize. Those present were: Rev. Stapel, Mr. Steinweg, Aug. Hoops and family, Henry Hoops of Mood, Wm. Plath and family, Martin Hoops and family, Fred Luepke and children, Herman Molle and family, Ed. Huber and family, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Eckes, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Marten, Mr. and Mrs. Merton Youmans, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Frederick and Eddy, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Andre, Laura Brockopp and daughter, Howard Youmans, Claire Fenhouse, Geraldine and Shirley Montgomery, Robert Graham and Lee Smith. At midnight lunch was served, after which all departed wishing Mr. and Mrs. Hoops many more years of life's journey.
