Lueschow, Dorothy A. (24 July 1937 – 17 Nov. 2008)

MADISON -- Dorothy A. "Dort" Lueschow, 71, passed away unexpectedly Monday, Nov. 17, 2008, at her home.

She was born July 24, 1937, in the town of Wien, Marathon County, the daughter of Elmer and Mayme (Hagen) Viegut. Dorothy was baptized and confirmed at St. John's ELC, Highway N, Edgar. She graduated from Stratford High School in 1955. Dorothy married James Lueschow on Jan. 19, 1957, in the town of Wien. She and Jim started Air Foam Cleaners, a carpet and furniture cleaning business in June 1972, in Madison and later added a janitorial service. In 1989, they sold the carpet/furniture business and continued on with DJ's cleaning, a janitorial and maid service. Dorothy also worked for Sears Home Life from 1989 until 2002.

She loved spending time with her family, friends and their pets.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Dennis (Sue) Lueschow and their children, Shane and Kristi of Green Bay; her daughter, Sarah Lueschow of Milwaukee; a brother, Richard (Verna) Viegut of Rhinelander; four sisters-in-law, Caroline Passehl of Edgar, Shirley Lueschow of Cresco, Iowa, Carol Viegut of Wausau, and Joanne Viegut of Marathon; stepbrother-in-law, Leonard Leffel of Fenwood; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; her parents; two infant sons, Michael and Douglas; three sisters, Karen Syron, Darlene Grieser and Lucille Steiner; and two brothers, Bob and Dave Viegut.

Funeral services will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 5701 Raymond Road, Madison, at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21, 2008, with the Rev. Sheryl Erickson presiding.

Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Private burial will be at Sunset Memory Gardens. Memorials may be made to U. W. Cardiology Department.

Gunderson East Funeral & Cremation Centers, Madison, is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Mom, you are finally at peace.
