Rinehart, Erna (25 Feb. 1907 – 13 Mar. 1999)

SPENCER – Erna Rinehart, 92, Marshfield, died March 13, 1999, at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John’s Lutheran Church in North Spencer. The Rev. David Ault will officiate. Burial will be in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jerald Rinehart, Brian Rinehart, Randy Rinehart, Virgil Kufhal, Jerry Borchardt and Johnny Juedes.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Community Funeral Home.

Erna was born Feb. 25, 1907, in the town of Hamburg, Marathon County, to Henry and Ottilie (nee Voight) Juedes. She married Delbert Rinehart on Jan. 2, 1933, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Hamburg. They moved to Spencer in 1959.

Erna was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Betty Jane (Robert) Schwantes of Spencer; her grandchildren, Jeffrey (Karen) Schwantes and Janel (Robert) Chandler; two great-grandchildren, Ashley Ann Chandler and Amber Ann Chandler; two sisters, Ruth Kufhal of Wausau and Leota Dirks of Edgar, and one sister-in-law, Doris Andrews of Wausau.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1970; by a daughter in infancy; her parents; one brother, Hilbert Juedes, and three sisters, Alma Thurs, Belinda Christian and Adela Tress.
