Miessner, Margaret (11 May 1917 – 15 Aug. 1980)

EDGAR – Mrs. Wilfred (Margaret) Miessner, 63, Route 4, died Friday afternoon at Wausau Hospital Center.

A life-long area resident, Mrs. Miessner was born May 11, 1917 in the town of Wien. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Amhaus. On Jan. 19, 1944 in the town of Wien, she and Mr. Miessner were married.

Her husband survives along with a daughter, Sharon Miessner, LaFarge; a son, Kenneth, at home; a sister, Mrs. Clarence (Edith) Pilgrim, Route 1, Edgar; and a brother, Elroy Amhaus, Cudahy.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, town of Wien, the Rev. Mark Nicklaus officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Sunday at Kraemer Funeral Home and at the church after noon Monday until services.

Mrs. Miessner was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid.
