Weber, Illa Katherine (Marriage – 31 May 1936)
At a ceremony performed at four o’clock in the afternoon of May 31st, at the Holy Trinity Greek Catholic church of Fond du Lac, Illa Katherine Weber, daughter of O. C. Ward of Marshfield, became the bride of George Jacobs of Madison, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Jacobs of Iron Mountain, Michigan. The Rev. Father C. Trachatheas officiated.
The attendants were Ann and Mykle Jacobs of Iron Mountain, Mich., sister and brother of the groom.
The bride was attired in an ensemble of blue flat crepe with matching accessories and wore a shoulder bouquet of pink roses. Miss Jacobs wore pink flat crepe with accessories to match and also had a shoulder bouquet of roses.
After the ceremony the couple were entertained at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Soffa of Fond du Lac. After a brief honeymoon in Michigan and Northern Wisconsin, Mr. and Mrs. Jacobs will return to Madison to make their home. For the summer they will have a cottage on Lake Mendota.
Out of town guests at the wedding included Mr. and Mrs. A. Jacobs and daughter, Ann and son Mykle, Lillian and Margaret Jacobs and John Jacobs all of Iron Mountain.
Mrs. Jacobs taught the Dixon school the past two years. She has made many friends while here who extend congratulations.
