Miller, Ida (Marriage – 2 Sept. 1936)

On Wednesday, September 2, at 9 o’clock at St. Louis Catholic church, Dorchester, Robert C. Lahr, Milan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hutter, Marshfield, and Miss Ida Miller, Town of Holton, were united in marriage, the Rev. J. Haines, officiating.

The bride wore a white satin dress, veil embroidered with pearl beads. She carried a bouquet of roses and carnations.

Miss Mary Miller, sister of the bride, was maid of honor and wore a pink dress with pink flowers in her hair. Miss Ella Hutter, Marshfield, wore peach taffeta and Miss Antoinetta Miller wore a blue lace dress. Each had wrist bouquets and flowers in her hair.

A wedding breakfast for relatives was held at the home of the bride’s mother. A wedding dance was held at Jerkwater in the evening.

Out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Earl J. Curran, Anton Metz and family, Miss Antoinetta Miller, Milwaukee; Mrs. C. Hahn and Miss Lillian Jefferies, Milwaukee; Mrs. Tillie Swarthous, Spencer; Mr. and Mrs. W. Conklin, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Hutter and family and Mrs. Buttler, Athens.

Mr. and Mrs. Lahr will live in Milan where he has a position at the Laabs Cheese Company.
