Lehman, Viola (Marriage – 27 Nov. 1937)
Albert Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Miller, Milan, and Miss Viola Lehman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lehman, Athens, were united in marriage at the Lutheran parsonage at Athens on Saturday, Nov. 27 at two o’clock, the Rev. Wm. Ruetter officiating.
The bride wore a beautiful gown of transparent blue velvet with hat to match. She carried a bouquet of Ophelia roses, sweet peas and orchids.
The attendants were Mr. and Mrs. John Berghammer, brother-in-law and sister of the bride; Miss Mae Miller, Wausau, sister of the groom; and William Mackoway, Wausau. Mrs. Berghammer wore a blue satin dress with gold band and gold slippers. Flowers of both attendants were sweet peas and roses.
A five o’clock dinner was served to forty guests at the home of the bride’s parents, and a wedding dance was held at Jerkwater in the evening to invited guests.
The groom has grown up here from childhood and has for many years worked at the Laabs Cheese Co.
Out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Morris Gierl, Abbotsford, Arthur Miller and family, Milan; Miss Mae Miller and William Mackoway, Wausau.
