ERNEST SCHULZE, saloon, Wausau, was born in Germany, April 16, 1836. He came to Wausau, July 22, 1862, and went into co-partnership with Jacob Gensmann, remaining with him two years, in the boot and shoe business. Then he worked alone, at same business, until 1879, when he began in his present occupation. He was married, Dec. 26, 1872, at Wausau, to Augusta Luepky, who was born in Germany, April 12, 1844. They have four children — Emma, Bertha, Edward and Henry.
