Farm Bureau Queen
Lee Ann Jaekel of the town of Day, age 18, was crowned Marathon County Farm Bureau Queen at the bureau’s annual June Dairy Month banquet Monday night in St. Anne’s School by C. J. McAleavy, Marathon county agricultural agent. Miss Jaekel is a graduate of Stratford High School and is employed in a greenhouse where she is pursuing her specialty of flower arranging. The queen was selected for qualities of beauty, poise, personality and conversational ability.
