----Schwantes, Anita H. (Marriage – 25 June 1938)

The marriage of Raymond Griepentrog, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Griepentrog, to Miss Anita H. Schwantes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin A. Schwantes, was solemnized at the Lutheran Parsonage, Rev. H. C. Hinz performing the ceremony, at 2:30 Saturday afternoon, June 25, 1938. The bride was attended by Miss Mabel Miller, the groom by Arnold Marglowsky.

The bride wore a floor length dress of pink taffeta and carried an arm bouquet of sweetheart roses. A bridal wreath adorned her head. The bridesmaid wore a peach colored dress of lace net, a head band and a corsage of assorted flowers. A reception to about 50 relatives and neighbors was held at the home of the bride's parents and a wedding dinner served at 6:30 p.m. The decorations were streamers of pink and blue, wedding bells and cut flowers. The young couple contemplated a trip to Milwaukee later but are to busy at present. They are at home to their friends at the Dale Driscoll home where the groom is employed.

Guests at the wedding were; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Luepke and family, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Griepentrog and family, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Driscoll and son, Mr. and Mrs. Alber Margolowsky, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Siebarth, Mrs. august Siebarth, Arnold Margolowsky, Mr. and Mrs. John Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Griepentrog and family, Loretta Foss, Miss Mabel Miller, Harlan Koch, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Griepentrog, all of Spencer and Mr. and Mrs. Edelhardt Schade and daughter, Loyal. A free wedding dance at the club house in the evening was given by the happy young couple.
