----Sitzman, Adelia (Marriage - 16 Nov. 1939)

Marriage vows were exchanged Thursday, the 16th, between Miss Adelia Sitzman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Sitzman, R. 1 Spencer, and Richard Owens, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Owens, Spencer R. 2, at a ceremony performed at 11A.M. in the Immanuel Evangelical Church parsonage at Chili, with the Rev. E. P. Manley officiating.

For her marriage the bride wore a dark wine silk crepe dress with taffeta silk trimming of the same color with tan accessories. Her flowers were a shoulder bouquet of yellow and white chrysanthemums.

The bridesmaid was Mrs. Mabel Owens, sister-in-law of the groom. Her dress was a dark blue silk print. She also wore a bouquet of chrysanthemums.

Roy Sitzman, a brother of the bride attended as best man. The groom wore a dark suit. The best man's suit was light grey. Each wore boutonnieres of yellow and white flowers.

Immediate relatives attended a wedding dinner and reception at the home of the groom's parents. A large yellow and white wedding cake formed the center piece for the table. A short auto trip in the afternoon was enjoyed by the wedding party with Robert Rollins as chauffeur. Mrs. Rollins assisted in preparing the dinner. In the evening a wedding dance and miscellaneous shower was held at the Country Club Ballroom near Marshfield. A shower was also given the young couple Tuesday evening at the Little Club hall, Spencer.

Mr. and Mrs. Owens will start housekeeping at once and will be at home to their friends on a farm near Veefkind where the groom has been living and farming for several weeks.

Veefkind Cor.
