Bachellor, Viola (Marriage – 25 June 1938)

Spencer Businessman is married in Michigan

Wedding bells have been ringing overtime all through the month of June, and this time they announce the wedding of Walter Facklam to Miss Viola Bachellor, of Farmington, Mich.; at 8:30 P.M. Saturday, June 25, 1938, at the German Lutheran church, at Farmington, Mich.

The bride was attended by her sisters, Marcella and Gladys Bachellor, and Mrs. Harry Killing, matron of honor. Mr. Killing acted as best man to the groom.

The bride was dressed in white and carried a mixed bouquet. The matron of honor wore a gown of peach color and the bridesmaids pink and blue. Their bouquets were of snapdragons.

A reception, attended by 80 relatives and friend, was held in the church basement after the service.

The groom is the son of the late Herman Facklam and Mrs. Hattie Facklam, and was reared in Spencer, graduating from the high school in the class of '28. He has for a number of years lived in Detroit, Mich., but this spring returned home to take over the blacksmith shop of his late father. Mr. and Mrs. Facklam are expected to be at home in Spencer after July 1st. The will reside at the home of the groom's mother.

Mrs. Hattie Facklam and her brother's wife, Mrs. Walter Karau, of Merrill, were guests at the wedding.
