Walti, Alice E. (Marriage – 18 June 1938)

A pretty and impressive wedding ceremony, witnessed by 200 guests was solemnized at St. Peter's church, McMillan, on Saturday, June 18, 1938, at 2 o'clock, when Miss Alice E. Walti, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Walti, Marshfield, became the bride of Mr. Theodore O. Huber, son of Mr. and Mr. Wenzel Huber, Spencer. The Rev. Karl Bost, McMillan, officiated at the ceremony.

Miss Frances Brennan, of Milwaukee, acted as bridesmaid, while Miss Dorothy Oelrich, Spencer, was matron of honor. The groom's attendants were Mr. Walter Matter, Spencer, and Mr. Harold Walti, Marshfield. Anola May Sersch, Shawano, acted as flower girl.

The bride wore a dress of long whit satin, princess style, with lace bolero jacket. She also wore a long veil and carried a bouquet of roses and sweet peas. The bridesmaid wore a dress of pin silk organdie, with bolero jacket, while the maid of honor wore a blue silk organdie gown with bolero jacket. The bridesmaid carried a bouquet similar to that carried by the bride. The groom was attired in a navy blue suit.

A wedding dinner was tendered to 125 friends and relatives of the bride and groom at the home of the bride's parents. A reception was given after the ceremony. The home was tastily decorated with pink, white and blue streamers and roses.

The groom is a prosperous young farmer of Spencer and the happy young couple will be at home on his farm here.
