Lemke, Irma (Marriage - 20 June)
A beautiful and impressive ceremony prescribed by the Lutheran Church joined in holy bonds of matrimony the lives and fortunes of Karl Stoltenow of Spencer and Miss Irma Lemke of Cecil, Wis. last Saturday, June 20. The Rev. H. Munderloh was the officiating pastor. The wedding took place in the Lutheran Church at Cecil, Wi. at 4o'clock in the afternoon and was attended by many relatives and friends. The church was decorated with many flowers. Richard Engebrecht of Oconomowoc played the wedding march. The beautiful Lutheran hymn, "Jesus Lead Thou On" was sung by Mr. and Mrs. Richard Engebrecht.
The bride was gowned in white silk marquisette and veil and carried a shower bouquet of roses and lilies of the valley and was escorted to the altar by her father. Miss Phyllis Gandt of Oconomowoc served as maid of honor and Mrs. Reihard Dittner of Spencer and Miss Anita Korth of Stevens Point as bridesmaids. These attendants wore dresses of Marquisette in harmonizing colors. Theodore Lemke of Cecil, brother of the bride, officiated as best man while Richard Dittner of Spencer and Carol Gandt of Oak Park, Il. officiated as the groom's attendants. A reception was held at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Lemke where a wedding dinner was served to 40 relatives and friends. Richard Engebrecht served as toastmaster for the evening's entertainment.
Karl Stoltenow is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Max Stoltenow of Spencer and is successfully employed in Milwaukee. Mr. and Mrs. Stoltenow will make their home in Milwaukee, Wi.
