Schweke, Estella (Marriage - 14 Oct. 1939)
Nuptial vows were exchanged by Miss Estella Schweke and Donald Prehn, both of Spencer, at a service red by the Rev. H. C. Hinz, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, Spencer, Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the church parsonage.
The bride, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Schweke, Spencer, was attired in a floor-length bouffant gown of white chiffon, with short shirred sleeves trimmed with satin bows. A tiara headdress, embroidered with seed pearls and rhinestones, held in place the bride's fingertip veil. She carried an arm bouquet of pink and white pompons.
Mrs. John Zettl Jr., only sister of the bride, attended as matron of honor, in an aqua blue chiffon gown, fashioned with an accordion pleated skirt and dirndl waist. She wore a wrist corsage of white pompons.
John Zettl Jr. attended Mr. Prehn as best man.
Immediate relatives and friends were entertained at a 4:30 o'clock wedding dinner and reception at the home of the bride's parents. Covers were laid for 60 guests. The residence was decorated for the occasion with aqua blue and white streamers and wedding bells.
Among those present from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schweke, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Tank, Butternut; Mr. and Mrs. Emil Venzke and sons, Lindsey; Mr. and Mrs., Charles Fisher and son, Auburndale; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Anderson and Miss Mildred Wilson, Marshfield.
Mr. Prehn is a graduate of Spencer High School with the class of 1932.
