In 1913, Arthur C. Georgas was the first embalmer for the city. When he had came to town he started a furniture store and undertaking business. After his death his wife, Mrs. Matilda "Tillie" (Sedlack) Georgas attended the School of Embalming. Mrs. Tillie Georgas keep the business going even after she had married Blaine C. Swarthout in 1934.
