Bublitz, Lorraine (Marriage – 23 July 1941)
The marriage of Miss Lorraine Bublitz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Bublitz, Town of Hoard, to Harold A. House, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry House, also of the Town of Hoard, took place Wednesday morning at ten o’clock in the parsonage of the First Evangelical Reformed Church at Colby. The Rev. S. A. Schmiechen read the service.
The bride wore a powder blue street length dress with a shoulder corsage of sweet peas and roses. Her accessories matched her frock.
Mrs. Emery Peissig of ?, who was the bride’s only attendant, wore a rose colored dress with matching accessories and a corsage like the bride’s.
Mr. Peissig attended the groom.
Following the ceremony, dinner for the immediate relatives was served at the home of the bride’s parents. Covers were laid for about 75 guests. In the evening a wedding dance was held at Hinke’s hall.
Mr. and Mrs. House left on a short wedding trip and on their return will be at home to their friends on a farm near Curtiss.
The bride, who is the niece of Mrs. Ralph Green, is well known here. She has assisted at the Variety Store here at various times.
Mr. and Mrs. Green and daughters, Jeanette and Shirley, were among the guests who attended the wedding reception.
