Kralcik, Helen (Marriage – 2 May 1942)

St. Thomas Catholic church in Milan was the scene of a pretty wedding last Saturday morning when Miss Helen Kralcik, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Kralcik, town of Johnson, and Alfred Potts, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Potts, town of Frankfort, were united in marriage. The Rev. Raymond Schulz celebrated the nuptial mass.

The bride wore an entrained gown of white slipper satin and a long flowing veil with a coronet headdress of pearls and carried calla lilies.

Her sister, Margaret, attending as maid of honor, was gowned in blue taffteta, and two other sisters, the Misses Elizabeth and Ann Kralcik, who served as bridesmaids, were in pale pink taffeta. All wore headdresses with shoulder-length veils, the color of their gowns, and carried gladioli and snapdragons.

Attendants for the bridegroom were John Kralcik and Robert Potts and Charles Potts as best man.

A reception and dinner attended by 45 guests was held at the Kralcik home, which was decorated for the occasion with streamers of blue, pink and white. Altars at the church were decorated with pink and white geraniums. In the evening the event was celebrated at a dance at the Trianon gardens.

Mr. and Mrs. Potts have left for Milwaukee, where they will make their home.

Guests from out of town at the wedding reception included Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Reichert, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Schaefer and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Rowe and family, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bornbach and family, Rozellville; Mr. and Mrs. John Lach and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Wolf, Wausau.

Others who attended the reception at the bride’s home were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Svoboda and family, Colby; Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Svoboda, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Potts and family, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Horacek and son, Mr. and Mrs. Nick Holbach and family and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gumz, Route 2, Athens.
